Xbox Madden Scores a Touchdown, while you Score Your Rival’s Income

If you're still unsure about Xbox Madden 10, then you need a trip through the football video game timeline, back to the beginning, to change your mind. On one hand, it's probably not too cool to say Xbox Madden 10 is great, just because it stands out next to crap from 30 years ago. Then again, those side-by-side comparisons help underscore the fact that Xbox Madden 10 is a truly top-notch football video game. It was inevitable, given the popularity of handheld football games in the B.C. (before consoles) era, that gamers would want a video football game to satisfy their needs. Only problem was, the gamers' ideas on what a great football video game should be, versus the reality of the video game consoles' capabilities, made for a shaky compromise. The buzzword for this one was "all the excitement" of the real thing, as the game publishers tried to sell their captive audience on this one. They didn't even try to make those guys look like people. Just needed to get that one off my chest. And if the picture has you cringing, you can only imagine what the gameplay is like. An early symptom of the low-tech nature of older video games was graphics that just blinked like crazy, rendering the action impossible to read. Audio was as awful as the video. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. Soon, the first round of the console wars would begin, and the competition created a football video game of their own. It had made the necessary innovations to make sports video games some serious business - the characters were animated better, without the same graphical setbacks, and this time, there was a scrolling screen, a necessity for football video games. It wasn't there yet, though.

No doubt, it was a real exciting time for hardcore gamers, but there was still a ways to go before football video games would dominate the industry. Several years would pass before that came to pass. Technology had caught up, albeit slightly, to gamers' football desires, to the point where this game has taken on an iconic status for gamers today. For quite a while, this was considered the greatest football video game by the video game world. Can't argue with the fact that the hardcore gamers did take to this one - for the first time, the NFL got the red-carpet treatment from a football video game. With the improvements in both the sound and the graphics, gamers saw this as the first and last word in video football games. Today, there's even a new incarnation of the game, and with that is a renewed reverence for it. That being said, as much as everyone digs that one, Xbox Madden 10 is in an entirely different league. Hard to believe how much these games have improved since they first came on the scene. We've had a few chuckles, but mocking less advanced video games isn't a productive use of our time. You've gotten the point. You have to start somewhere, and those other games did - and Xbox Madden 10 would have never been possible if it weren't for those older football video games. Xbox Madden 10 is the future of football video games, and the video game community is psyched that the future is looking so bright. The reviews are as positive as the reaction from the gamers themselves - it's a hit with the fans as well as the video game sites. "Realistic and enjoyable" are comments you'll see during most Xbox Madden 10 reviews. EA Sports didn't even come close to fumbling the ball with Xbox Madden 10, that's for sure.

Don't let the naysayers shape your opinion - Xbox Madden 10 is a game for the ages. As great as Xbox sports video games offerings are, Xbox Madden 10 is at the top of the pack. With Xbox Madden 10, the debate over the best football video game can be laid to rest. If you're really ready to show your stuff, you can separate yourself from the pack and face off for big bucks.

The stakes have been raised, and Xbox Madden 10 maniacs now can take each other on for some serious cash. After you've really given yourself a crash course and learned all the rules, you'll score touchdown after touchdown - and make off with your rival's bankroll as well.
